Contact without contact – how can that work in dance?

In our research Moving in Contact we explored ways of interpersonal contact, despite physical distance.

About the Project

Dancing in contact encourages creativity, challenges new movements and strengthens social togetherness. The simplest form of contact naturally fails in the time of the pandemic. Since many people are suffering from isolation at the moment, we need new methods to get in touch through dance despite the distance.

When I pick up or mirror the movements of others, there is already contact for me

The Outcome

In three interactive videos have captured how contact can occur even in times of physical distance. All methods can be integrated in a digital format as well as in the live training.

Feel free to try out the videos. All you have to do is find a place where you feel comfortable. Start from there on an extraordinary journey of reaching out:

Get creative through contact

Contact is not always 100 percent. Contact can be between 0 and 100 percent. That's what I learn from the research
